Sid U8's v Teignmouth

Sidmouth hosted Teignmouth U8s on Sunday. Sidmouth put out 4 teams to play Teignmouths 2.
The first Teignmouth team played 3 matches ending in 2 draws and one Sidmouth victory by 8 tries to 4. Elizabeth Monro Higgs got the vote for best tagger of the day but was closely followed by Toby  Sanford. The Sidmouth players also gained from great organising of attack and defence by Gyll Gray who managed a brilliantly timed pass to set up a try in the corner.
The second Teignmouth team won 8-7, drew 7-7 and lost 8-6 against what one Teignmouth parent described as the best tagging they had seen all year. Sidmouth managed to turn the ball over on four seperate occassions by tagging the Teignmouth players 7 times in a row. A few small errors meant they did not manage to capitalise fully on this. Herbie Isherwood again gave a masterclass on sidestepping scoring 4 tries. Tom Bird also showed great determination running the ball from deep within his own half to score at the oppsite corner.
