Sidmouth U16's v Exeter Chiefs U16's

EXETER CHIEFS U16        17    -      69       SIDMOUTH U16

Chiefs were competitive to the end and scored with the last play; but by then Sidmouth had the game wrapped-up largely down to a committed team performance, great control at the set piece and hard work from the forwards who produced quick ball for a confident set of backs on a good surface. Cotton recovered the kick-off and after three rucks, good handling and a cross-field kick, Thomas scored in the opposite corner. Chiefs struck back with their first attack but Sidmouth maintained the pressure and with ten further tries shared around Wells-Burr, Faulkner, Parnell and Thomas, they sealed a big bonus point win to confirm their place in the league play-offs on 25 March. This Saturday Sidmouth entertain Bournemouth who are the unbeaten Dorset Champions – the game kicks-off at 11am at the Blackmore.
