Devonport Services 27 Sidmouth 2nd xv 0

A disappointing result for the Quins being beaten by 5 tries and a conversion. A strange decision by the referee to have uncontested scrums for the whole of the game because neither side had a front row replacement, was the start of a rare and unusually below par performance, from a side which has put in a lot of effort over the last couple of weeks. The plusses to come out of the match were Josh Reed and Ben Salter who played a half each in a unaccustomed position, scrum half. Tony Martin playing for the 1st time since wellington away and The efforts of Ryan Davies who works very hard for his team mates.

The Quins will have to raise their approach to games if they want to get back to winning ways, starting this weekend at home to North Tawtons 1st team at the Blackmore.
