SIDMOUTH RUGBY CLUB AWARDS 2016

The Club held the Annual Dinner and Presentation of Awards in the clubhouse on Saturday 7th May. More than 70 people attended for a four course meal and the presentation of the awards by chairman Lester Willmington.

Coaches Concussion Sessions

Adam Rutter, Sidmouth RFC's Physiotherapist gave a talk to 50 players and coaches on the RFU's concussion protocol's.

Very well presented and warmly received. Sidmouth RFC taking a positive approach on this current hot topic! 

 

 

Concussion

 A further session again by Adam on this subject was held on the 4th April for the Junior section Coaches. Well received by all - Thanks Adam !

ANNUAL CHARITY SEVENS 2016 SPONSORED BY FORDS OF SIDMOUTH

The Annual Charity Sevens took place on Sunday 1st May with five teams taking part in a round robin tournament.

The least successful, but best supported, team were Old Romans from Caerleon in Wales. The Colts, in fourth place, were involved in the closest and most exciting games. Third placed Woodroffe VII also played some entgertaining rugby. In second place were The Rejects led by 2nd Team stalwart Ryan Davies. The comfortable winners were Valley Touch captained by Tom Seward.

The trophies were presented by Mike Ford on behalf of the event sponsors, Fords of Sidmouth.

The event raised £470 for Children's Hospice South West.
