Information to members following 20 June Board meeting.

7 Directors plus the President attended. A number of written reports had been circulated in advance so that members could come to the meeting appropriately briefed. This will be the approach in the future.

Again the meeting covered a lot of ground and was very positive.

Subjects covered.

These ranged from;

  1. agreeing what subjects should be covered in one or more press releases.
  2. approving the payment of legal fees re the Prettyjohn field.
  3. approving the provision of another display board subject to a second quotation.
  4. approving the funding of a possible first team squad team building “away day” with a final session at the Blackmore pre a BBQ for families, members etc.
  5. agreeing that the programme and match day insert will continue for next season.
  6. agreeing that the subscription/fee level for 2011/12 will remain unchanged.
  7. noting that work on a new web site is well advanced
  8. noting that various fund raising initiatives and member benefit possibilities will be considered over the coming months.

Sidmouth Rugby Football Club – “Old Association”.

The Director’s meeting was suspended whilst a meeting of the “old general committee” was held.

The draft accounts for the year ended 30 April 2011 had previously been circulated to all members of the old general seeking their approval. 8 approvals had been received via e mail – plus the approval of the 8 attendees.

It was agreed to hold the closing AGM of the “old association on Monday 18 July at 7pm to;
a) accept the accounts
b) thank various key individuals for past services
c) dissolve the “old association”.

The formal legal notice would be put into the Sidmouth Herald and posted on both the club web site and notice board.

Help needed.

Help is needed at home matches to collect the entrance money etc. Can you help or do you know someone who could ?? If so please contact Paul Whitehouse – 579818.
