More than 50 volunteers attended the Club'S Volunteers Evening held on Friday 4th September in the newly refurbished clubhouse.  The event is held annually to recognise and reward the essential work done by a large number of volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the club.

After most enjoyable hot buffet provided by club caterer Duncan Woods and his team, chairman Lester Willmington outlined the important achievements and contributions during the previous season before making the following presentations for notable contributions.

Clubman of the Year trophy – Chris Fitzhenry for his work with the junior section.

Tug Wilson Cup – Tom Seward  as player/volunteer for his work in coaching the girls squad.

Malcolm Barratt for 25 years’ service, firstly with the junior section and latterly as bar chairman. Also his wife Sally for her invaluable support.

It was also noted that Robert Baugh has been recognised by Devon RFU as an “unsung hero”. He has been presented with two tickets for a Rugby World Cup game at Sandy Park.
