What is happening to our Club?

For some time now, our Clubhouse at the Blackmore has been looking a bit tired. It has served us well for many years but we are looking for a fresh, light and contemporary feel to the upstairs bar to provide a more welcoming ambiance for our rugby community and the people of Sidmouth and environs.

We are starting with the entrance hallways where new colours will be given to the walls together with new flooring to harmonise with this.   Seeing a lot of traffic through these areas, we have chosen a selection of shades of grey and a modern striped carpet.

The bar is having a timber frontage and new bar top.

The flooring will be modern, oak in appearance and practical. All the furniture is being replaced with light beech topped tables together with a variety of chairs to match with a practical grey base and modern light duck egg fabric on the backs.

The walls will be decorated in light and fresh colours consisting of a sharp cream, very light grey and duck egg to some walls and we shall have new bespoke coordinating curtains hanging at the freshly decorated windows.

There will be some exciting new lighting and several TV screens so that you can view games from different situations in the room.

This will be an asset to the Club and our aim is to offer it for hire to a broader catchment of people so that we can increase our much needed revenue.

We very much hope that you will like it!
